YOU MUST PHONE THE SURGERY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. WE WILL HAVE 4 LINES IN USE TO ANSWER ALL CALLS. THE RECEPTIONISTS WILL NEED TO FOLLOW PROTOCOL IN BOOKING APPOINTMENTS BY ASKING YOU A SERIES OF QUESTIONS BEFORE THEY CAN BOOK AN APPOINTMENT.*****

See a GP by video

Our GP's may decide that they want to do your appointment via video consultation. See how it works below.

How it works:

  • Your practice will let you know that they would like you to do a video consultation
  • Your clinician will then send you a text message with a link to load video consultation.

What you need to do:

  • Once you receive the message click on the link
  • It will then open your internet browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome)
  • It may show you a screen where you need to click "Request permissions" to enable your camera and your microphone.
  • You should then be able to see yourself.
  • You should then wait for the GP to join the consultation.
  • What do I need for it to work?

    • A smartphone, either with working Wifi/3G/4G connection
    • Your Internet Browser needs to have your phone's microphone and camera enabled.
    • iPhones running older software that has not been updated (iOS 12 and earlier) will need to download the Whereby app to join the consultation)
  • What if I don't have a smartphone or the video doesn't work on my phone?
You can also access the link on a computer. Just type it into the top of the internet browser.

Booking your appointments online

Before you can start booking GP appointments online you must first register your details for this service.

It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery bringing some identification with you; you will then be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system.

Once registered you will be able to view any appointments you have already made, cancel them if necessary, or book a new appointment with the doctor.

When you book an appointment online you will receive confirmation which you can print off and bring with you when you attend the surgery; there is no need to reconfirm.

Please contact the surgery if you require an interpreter.

Urgent Appointments

Please remember urgent appointments are for medical problems and doctor will only deal with the immediate problem. Doctors will see “extra” urgent patients even if their session is fully booked, but you must be prepared to see whichever doctor is available, and to wait if necessary.

Appointments may be made by telephone from 8.30 am each day. A limited number of appointments are available to book in advance* but may go quickly. Please remember one person per appointment.

* Due to Covid 19 we are not currently pre booking any appointments in advance.

We want to reassure you that your GP practice is still here to look after you and your family.

Please DO NOT arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. You may be asked to sit in your car or come back closer to your appointment

Thank you
